No-Bake Cookies Hare Krishna Version

The rich flavor of carob, combined with peanut butter and oats, creates a satisfying and quick dessert that’s perfect for offering to Krishna.

What is Carob?

Carob is a naturally sweet, cocoa-like powder made from the pods of the carob tree. Unlike chocolate, carob contains no caffeine, making it an ideal ingredient for those following a sattvic diet, such as in the Hare Krishna tradition. Carob has a slightly nutty, roasted flavor, and is often used as a substitute for cocoa in baking and cooking. It provides a natural sweetness, so recipes made with carob often require less added sugar. Its smooth, rich texture makes it perfect for no-bake desserts, cookies, and cakes, offering a caffeine-free and wholesome alternative to chocolate.

Carob is a beloved ingredient in the Hare Krishna community, as it aligns with the principles of sattvic cooking—pure, nourishing, and free from stimulants like caffeine, making it perfect for prasadam offerings.
